A Spotify Canvas I made for Ky J Brandes' single Bonafide Man. I believe that a good Spotify canvas is a companion to the album art, either bringing it to life, or highlighting an aspect of the cover to hone in on the themes of the song.

Bonafide Man (despite my pleading to separate the words "bona fide" due to my latin education) is about confronting the privileges and expectations given to straight white men. Finding images associated with masculinity and traditional values serves as a backdrop to the single cover. Shooting this collage in film proved to be invaluable, as I was able to more finely control the lighting of the collage, giving it a spooky underlit atmosphere.
