A system of Spotify Canvases I created for Ky J Brandes’ album Put Down. The client wanted black and white illustrations to complement his costume on stage, and the themes of life and death in the album. I used Procreate and After Effects to create this system.

Over the few months of creating these canvases, I learned a lot about how to prepare illustrations to be animated using the puppet tool. For Stretching Feelings and The Half of It, the animation process was more instinctual, pushing and pulling what looked convincing. For Love to Lose, I separated the water and the hand, which gave me finer control.
