This is the Spotify Canvas I created for Ky J. Brandes' debut studio album, Put Down. The album deals with themes of grief and self sacrifice, so the viewer is guided into a grave where an otherworldly transformation occurs. I used feather, a 3D modeling app on the iPad, and After Effects to create this video.

Working in 3D was outside of my comfort zone, but a restricted color space, a simplified style, and the ability to (somewhat) traditionally draw helped bridge the gap. Even with the dynamic movement, the video was feeling too sterile. I found that a simple wiggle effect gave the video a hand-drawn touch that brought the whole project together.
